How warehouses put Pickbox to work

Pick faces, pallet stacks and racking — how warehouses put Small, Standard, Long and Maxi boxes to work.

400 × 400 × 250 mm

Small box

Pick faces, spare parts and compact SKUs

Teams use the Small box as a pick-face bin on flow racks and packing tables. The open front keeps labels readable while stacks stay Euro-pallet compatible.

We replaced mixed plastic totes with Small Pickboxes on two pick modules. Same footprint, lighter handling, and the cardboard recycles with our outbound waste stream.

Standard box — wide

Mixed cartons, apparel and retail replenishment

The wide Standard box is the workhorse for mixed SKUs. Customers stage it on pallets in the aisle, then roll full stacks to packing without re-picking into another container.

Standard wide is our default inner pack. One size covers most of the catalogue, so we stopped buying three tote variants.

400 × 600 × 300 mm

Standard box — long

Long goods, textiles and awkward SKUs

The long format sits the other way on the pallet so garments, tubes and kit boards lie flat. Same stack height as the wide Standard, so mixed pallets stay level.

Long boxes finally gave us a corrugated option for items that never fit a 600-wide opening. We run them on the same pallet grid as the rest of the Pickbox range.

Maxi box

Bulk, returns and oversized lines

Maxi is for volume that would otherwise sit in gaylords or mixed cartons. Customers use it for returns sortation, seasonal overflow and half-pallet moves between halls.

We use Maxi as a clean, stackable bulk bin. It replaced one-way cartons we were breaking down every shift.

What teams tell us

Placeholder testimonials. Names and companies will be replaced with approved customer quotes.

Pickbox let us standardise every pick bin on Euro pallets. The FSC cardboard was the easy part — the stack geometry is what changed our aisle density.

We trialled samples, then rolled Small and Standard wide across two sites. Training was a toolbox talk. Damage in transit dropped because stacks interlock.

Our sustainability report needed a plastic-tote alternative that still survived daily picks. Eight years of stack duty is the claim we are measuring against.
